Make Your Way to Kohl’s Monrovia
Discover the best place for clothing, shoes, toys, home décor, appliances and electronics for the whole family. Kohl’s Monrovia, located in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, is part of a vibrant community that has its roots as small farming community, predominantly orange groves.
The town was officially incorporated in 1887 and has a unique place in American history as the home to author and activist Upton Sinclair as well as the precursor to McDonald’s, The Airdrome, named for its proximity to the old Monrovia airport. Sinclair’s former home is just north of Kohl’s on the way to the San Gabriel Mountains. The site of The Airdrome, which was said to service 10-cent burgers and all-you-can-drink orange juice for a nickel more, is just a short drive east.
Kohl’s Monrovia is located within the Huntington Oaks Center. The shopping center’s location just north of Foothill Freeway, Interstate 210, allows for easy access from nearby Bradbury, Pasadena, Baldwin Park, West Covina and Pomona.
